Para ahli silat muda yang baru turun gunung ini langsung menantang dan berusaha mengalahkan dominasi para locianpwe yang telah puluhan tahun menguasai lembah Boe-lim.
Sementara itu, para Locianpwe (Angkatan Lama) yang biasa diperlakukan dengan hormat layaknya seorang raja kecil merasa terhina dengan perlakuan dan ketidaksopanan yang ditunjukkan oleh para ahli-ahli silat muda yang tanpa permisi langsung mengkritik jurus-jurus dan ilmu-ilmu silat para Locianpwe penguasa Boe-lim.
Beberapa hari perseteruan (perang dingin) terjadi di antara dua kubu yang saling bertolak belakang ini, sampai akhirnya sang penengah menurunkan tangan besinya dengan meng"cut" para ahli-ahli silat muda dari panggung adu ilmu.
Namun, para ahli-ahli silat muda itu tidak merasa diremehkan atau disepelekan. Bahkan, melihat rekan senasib sepenanggungan-nya disingkirkan, dengan beramai-ramai mengatasnamakan solidaritas, sebagian ahli-ahli silat muda lainnya juga mengundurkan diri dari panggung adu ilmu itu.
